## An owner-operated dental laboratory
Northwest Dental Studio is a fixed and removable prosthetics dental lab in Mount Prospect, Illinois. We make custom restorations for dentists — crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, implant crowns and custom abutments, inlays and onlays, full dentures, and partial dentures. We don’t serve patients directly, and we don’t treat your practice like a transaction.
**Every case is fabricated in-house by the owner.** That sentence sounds small, but it’s the entire difference between this lab and a corporate one. At larger labs, your case is touched by a dozen different hands — a designer, a miller, a stainer, a QC tech, a packer — and quality depends on every hand-off going right. Here, the same experienced technician owns the case from impression to insert.
## How we work with practices
We act as an extension of your team:
- **One point of contact.** When you call us about a case, you reach the technician working on it — the owner.
- **Honest case feedback.** If a prep, scan, or bite registration is going to fight us, we’ll say so before we start — not after a remake.
- **Predictable turnaround.** Most fixed cases are in-lab for 7–10 working days. Dentures and complex multi-unit work take longer; we tell you up front when a date is realistic.
- **Open digital workflow.** We accept intraoral scans from iTero, Trios, Primescan, Medit, and CEREC, plus traditional impressions and bite registrations.
## Technology in the lab
We invest in the equipment that makes restorations more accurate and more predictable:
- In-house **CAD design with exocad**
- **Multi-axis milling** for zirconia, lithium disilicate (e.max), PMMA, and CoCr
- **3D printing** for models, try-ins, surgical guides, and digital dentures
- **Authentic materials** — Ivoclar, 3M, Argen, KATANA, Zirkonzahn
The result is restorations that fit, contact, and shade-match the way they should — the first time.
## Where we deliver
Northwest Dental Studio offers free local pickup and delivery to dental practices across the Chicago Northwest suburbs, including **Mount Prospect, Arlington Heights, Palatine, Des Plaines, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg, Park Ridge, Buffalo Grove, Wheeling, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Prospect Heights, Glenview, and Northbrook**. Cases outside our pickup route can be sent via UPS — we’ll cover return shipping on standing accounts.

What does owner-operated mean for my cases?
It means the same technician — the owner — designs, mills or presses, finishes, stains, and quality-checks every restoration that leaves this lab. There is no assembly-line hand-off and no overseas outsourcing.
Where is the lab located?
800 West Central Road, Suite 104N, Mount Prospect, Illinois 60056. We serve dental practices across the Chicago Northwest suburbs.
Is the work done in-house?
Yes — 100 percent. CAD design, milling, pressing, layering, staining, finishing, and quality control all happen in our Mount Prospect lab. Nothing is sent overseas.
How is this different from a larger dental laboratory?
Larger labs split a single case across many technicians — one designs, another mills, another stains, another QCs. Quality depends on every hand-off. At an owner-operated lab, one experienced person owns the case from start to finish, so the case is consistent with what you ordered and what you’ve come to expect.
