## Cosmetic work we make
- **e.max (lithium disilicate) veneers** — pressed or milled, hand-stained or layered
- **Layered porcelain veneers** — for the highest-esthetic anterior cases on refractory dies
- **All-ceramic anterior crowns** — zirconia or e.max with anterior layering
- **Diagnostic wax-ups & digital smile design** — to plan the case before you prep
- **Provisionals & mock-ups** — milled or printed from approved designs
## The cosmetic workflow we recommend
The best veneer cases share a pattern: plan first, prep second. We work with practices on:
1. **Records visit** — scans (or impressions), intraoral photos, and shade documentation
2. **Digital smile design** — proposed tooth proportions, midline, and incisal edge position
3. **3D-printed mock-up** — try the proposal in the mouth before any tooth reduction
4. **Prep visit** — using the approved design as your guide
5. **Final delivery** — with a try-in if the case warrants it
For a single veneer or chip repair, we’ll usually skip straight to fabrication — send a great scan and good shade information.
## Why owner-fabrication matters for esthetic cases
Anterior esthetics is where the difference between an owner-operated lab and a production-line lab shows up most. Shade matching, layering technique, surface texture, line angles, and incisal translucency — these are decisions made one case at a time, in one technician’s hands. At Northwest Dental Studio, that’s the owner — every time.
## Shade and esthetic information we love to see
- Intraoral photos with the patient’s natural smile and lips at rest
- A shade tab held at the level of the teeth being matched
- A bite registration showing dynamic occlusion if the case is anterior
If we have those three things, we can usually nail the case on the first try.
## Cosmetic dentistry FAQs
What materials do you use for veneers?
Lithium disilicate (e.max) pressed or milled and hand-stained or layered, layered porcelain veneers on a refractory die for high-esthetic cases, and zirconia in select indications.
Do you do digital smile design?
Yes. For multi-unit anterior cases we produce a digital wax-up and 3D-printed PMMA mock-up so the patient can preview the design before any tooth reduction.
Can I send a single veneer?
Absolutely. Single veneers are a real test of shade matching — send us intraoral photos at multiple angles plus a shade tab and we’ll handle it personally.
What information helps you nail the shade?
Intraoral photos with the patient’s natural smile and lips at rest, a shade tab held at the level of the teeth being matched, and a bite registration showing dynamic occlusion for anterior cases.
